A couple things...

1. I saw a guy who works in the same building I do heading into the bathroom today. He was wearing ankle weights. Yes, ankle weights. Remember, I work at a technology incubator, not a Gold's Gym or anything like that.

2. I had this writer for Thrive ask me about the age-old Mac v. PC debate for an article coming out tomorrow. I told him I thought PCs were better for work-related stuff, but if compatibility and software choices didn't enter into the equation, I'd prefer a Mac because they have better and simpler media choices, and they are sexier too (yes I called a computer sexy). Then, this weekend I saw about 5 of those Mac ads with the portly, nerdy gentleman (who was wearing a tie(!) - how lame, right?!?) trying to keep up with the condescending, smug, hoodie-wearing little hipster from Dodgeball/Ed/Waiting. Trying to make people feel like they are a nerd if they own a PC and are cool if they have a Mac is something that you have to do without it looking like you are trying to do it. Why don't you just let us decide which one we like more, okay? If they are the shit like you say they are, you won't have a problem. These commercials piss me off. Therefore, I only might buy an iMac when I can afford one, instead of definitely getting one like I was planning on.

3. This is fantastic. If ESPN's ad generator is like Google ads, it saw there was mention of a motorcycle in this article and pulled this ad to run along side of it. Stupid machine? No, machine with a great sense of humor, I say. I especially like the "Someday is Today" tagline/truism/warning on the ad.

Dude! Those ads are awesome! That dude's awesome! I'm awesome too, while I'm at it!

  • Hi. I'm J. I have this blog to share my random thoughts and the random stuff I find with whoever wants to listen. If you don't like what I say or post on here, please tell me. I'd be haapy to mock, ridicule, and belittle you, your blog, any pictures you have, your poor grammar, your obviously awful taste in blogs, and anything else I can find on Google to make fun of. I will do all of these things (and more) because I am unable to handle any kind of criticism and am unable to deal with confrontation in healthy ways. Cheers.
